What types of exercises are included in the sessions?
We incorporate a variety of exercises and no two workouts are ever the same. From core conditioning, cardio., weight training, jumping rope, circuit training, plyometrics to stretching and more!
What do I need to bring?
We recommend you bring an exercise mat or beach towel, filled water bottle, running shoes and some energy!
What's the cost?
Our current rates are listed here. Please don't forget to check out our Deals page as well!
Where do we meet?
We meet in the northwest corner of Washington Park not far from the front of the Dos Chappell Bathhouse. If driving, you’ll enter the park at the intersection of South Marion and East Virginia and park in the first lot on your left. If you’ve driven past the pond, you’ve gone too far!
How soon will I see results?
That depends entirely on you! We promise to do our part but what you do outside of the sessions will make all the difference. Improvements can take place in as little as three days. More significant results will take longer depending on your effort level and how well you’re complimenting your workouts with healthful eating. Everyone is different but we’ll help find out what works best for you individually.
What's your average participant like?
There is no average participant. Participants range in age from 20 - 65. Some have never exercised and some are competitive athletes looking to train for the next race. Some are “hardcore” while others prefer to keep their exercise to a more manageable intensity level. No matter what your current fitness level, you will fit right in.
What if it rains?
Bootcampers are tough so we bootcamp in the rain! Well… we bootcamp in the "light" rain. We do have to draw the line in the event of pouring rain as the ground is just too slick to exercise safely. The only time we will definitely cancel a session is if there is lightening present. Unfortunately, we can’t always predict the weather until the start of the session or shortly before. We’ll do our best to cancel as far in advance as possible and get the word out via email and text. In the past three seasons, we have experienced approximately 3 – 7 cancellations per year from May through October.
I hate to run or I can’t run because of a chronic injury. Are you going to make me run? (i.e. Then I'm not coming!)
Running is completely optional. We created our program specifically to be effective for runners or walkers. (Note: we will recommend running if we feel you can do it and it would help you reach your goals. However, you will never be forced to run and you will always have the final say in that matter.)
On a scale of 1-5, my fitness level is a 5. Will I still get a good workout?
Yes! We can promise you that.
On a scale of 1-5, my fitness level is a 1. Will I be able to complete the workouts without getting left behind?
Yes! You will be challenged, but never pushed beyond your capability.
Please contact us if there are any other questions we can answer for you.
